Should Christians Use a Dating Service?

Here’s my thoughts as a Christian being very much involved with Christian singles: The Bible says do not be consumed with finding a spouse but to focus on God, communion and friendship with other Christians which is brilliant advice since your spouse should be your best friend and not come before God.

I would also consider we humans tend to compartmentalise the way they find a spouse compared to how we do other things; eg do we go to a job board when looking for work or let the employee come to us?

Do we go to a store to find clothes where the store owner has diligently collected quality clothes, or wait for clothes to fall in our lap? To we train and better ourselves for a job or let the perfect person come to us? In virtually every aspect of life we use services – but not meeting someone in this day and age when Christians are few and far between? I’m biased as I set up a completely free Christian dating site myself in 2000 (you see 100’s and 100’s success stories here: https://www.101freechristiandating.com/singles-success/

as I personally found it very hard to meet Christians (let alone single Christians), and could see a day when if this continues for Christians, we could disappear through lack of means of connect.

My own service has been successful in creating many 100’s genuine Christian marriages and families – mainly because I spend 1000’s hours approving every profile, diligently blocking spammers before they are approved and with member’s help weed out folks that are ‘messing about’ (most free and often paid sites do not and are more interested in clicks than safety so find a trusted site).

Summary: Should Christians Use Dating Sites or Services?

So I would say use recommended/trusted services with caution to make friends, and if you find it stressful stop. Online safety first: never send anyone you meet online money for any reason! I hope that helps. God bless you.
