We know around the world there are hundreds if not thousands of different religions and millions of different Gods – take India for example – the mind boggles – where does one start if you wanted to have a personal relationship with God.
And what sort of ‘God’ would not make himself available to have a personal relationship with his creations? Not a very nice one I would assert. But if God exists – He would have to be nice – one only has to look at creation (not man’s sins) to see that God is indeed WONDERFUL!
God by definition must be OMNI(ALL) powerful. All power means by definition it cannot be shared with other gods! Believe in multiple ‘gods’ at your peril!
So we know that many of these religions claim to have multiple Gods. My question isIs it possibleTo have multiple gods in the first place? What is a god? God by definition must be all-powerful – all-knowing and all-seeing – and omnipotent – ie have all the power in the universe at His disposal – why? Otherwise they simply are not God! Therefore you cannot have multiple ‘gods’ in the same universe.
I suppose multiple universe theory might help out here, but this in my view is just a distraction scientists as another means to assert that God doesn’t exist, so they can go on avoiding personal judgement for their deeds by a personal God. Scientists in the main want to keep God out of His own creation and stick to the so-called facts.
By definition – any entity that is a truly God – cannot coexist with other entities. That would mean none of them are god. Unless you want to foolishly assert that the multiple gods you are describing have a sort of power-sharing arrangement.
The idea of believing in one all-powerful God is off-the-wall enough for most sensible people – but it is possible that one entity exists we cannot fathom and cannot touch or prove exists – that is outside our dimension. But let’s not be foolish. God cannot be in some way spreading power around – He either is – or isn’t.
